Goolash


1 lb. lean ground beef (or ground turkey)
2 15-oz. cansof tomato sauce, no salt added
1 tsp garlic salt
1/3 cup dry minced onion -- or a few Tb of onion powder in our house :(
1 tsp pepper
oregano (sprinkle)
1/2 lb. whole wheat pasta noodles (elbow, shell, rotini, etc.)
1 zucchini, shredded
1 medium sweet potato, shredded

Good whole wheat pasta according to directions.

In a large pan, brown the beef.  Drain.  Add the spices, tomato sauce, pasta, zucchini, and sweet potato.  Stir, cover with lid, and simmer on medium - low for 20-30 minutes or until sweet potatoes are tender.

1 cup is 232 calories.
